you re in stockholm and, of course, you speak no swedish. end of the world? not exatly, cause everybody (i mean everybody indeed) speaks english. but there s still a magic way to approach to situations.
you cannot speak swedish, but you ve learned somehow two little words: tack and hej. so that you discover that those words are enough for a simple life in this nice country of scandinavia. below, we present you some parts of "meaning 100 differents things with two words".
1. ok, you re arrived to sweden and you just wanna go hostel, not spending time with the visa guys. So you look at theiers eyes and say, with conviction, Hej! Voila, now you can go.
7. shopping it s not a simple deal to do abroad. it always involkes numbers, cards, credit cards, money exchange. but you can go just thru it all with the little words. you get to the cash and smile to the beautiful girl. say a convincent Hej. she might then tell you something complicated, maybe about a new product in REA! but don t miss the control of situation, only keep smiling, give her the credit card, put the code and when everything rules, look at her and say Tack. very well done.
53. having problems with police it s not something you really want, for sure. so that s good to say a long Hej everytime you meet them: this little act will show them in with side you are, and you are not going to show them your s darth vaders side. not now; please.
66. charming people in the streets, why not? but here also it s possible to use the two little words. for exemple; you re crossing the street and the hottie is passing by. just throw a little Hej, like as you were cleaning your throat. it she likes you; she ll stop in the middle of the path, say you stop, run to yours arms and give you a huge kiss (this is the part of the movie when it starts to snow and the good love song takes place)
67. but you can also only do a little use of the words to charm. you are entering the concert hall and she holds the door for you. (but you know she would do that for anyone, ok?)... say a fake-spontaneous Ohhh Tack!. that s all needed to the moment. then, in the interval you ll be able to talk to her, in english, because you have already showed how a good swedish-two-words-speaker you are!
